Guizhou has extensively carried out the pilot work of methanol and gasoline utilization this year. Guiyang has taken the lead in promoting the pilot work of methanol and gasoline utilization since May, Tongren is building a methanol production base, and Liupanshui is confirming the qualification of methanol and gasoline production enterprises.

[SYNCH] Wang Jiaqiang, deputy director of the Economic Operation Department of the Guizhou Provincial Economic and Information Commission, said that there is a unified plan for this work in the province. In Guiyang City and Qiannan Prefecture, we are gradually carrying out pilot projects. Generally, it takes three months to select the sites. At the sites, our relevant departments will track and test the vehicles using methanol gasoline. After we have gained experience, we will gradually push forward.
[Narration] Guizhou is rich in coal resources, and the coal chemical industry has formed a momentum of vigorous development. At the same time, Guizhou has extensively piloted the use of methanol and gasoline. This year, the annual output of methanol will reach 2 million tons. At the same time, the consumption of refined oil in the province will reach nearly 3 million tons, and all rely on foreign imports.
It is understood that by widely promoting the use of methanol gasoline, while digesting the methanol products of some coal chemical enterprises in the province and extending the industrial chain of coal products, it can reduce the outsourcing pressure, cost pressure and transportation pressure of refined oil sales enterprises in the province, and improve the self-protection capacity of refined oil in the province.
It is understood that methanol gasoline has the advantages of good cleanness, high thermal efficiency, good power and economic benefits. Guizhou Province subsidizes the pilot work in the first phase according to the principle of pilot first and then promotion. The scope of subsidy is the end users participating in the pilot, and the subsidy standard is 0.3 yuan per liter.
