The long-term expert demonstration and test results show that the main problems related to methanol gasoline vehicles, such as corrosion and swelling, have been basically solved, the relevant supporting infrastructure and technical standards such as methanol gasoline modulation center and gas station have been initially established and improved, and the conditions for conducting methanol gasoline vehicle test have been met. On this basis, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology decided to carry out pilot operation of high proportion methanol gasoline vehicles in Shanghai, Shaanxi and Shanxi. The meeting designated Shanghai Huahan, Chery sedan and FAW Jinye as the production enterprises of high proportion methanol gasoline vehicles, and decided to use the pilot phase of high proportion methanol gasoline vehicles from 2011 to 2013.
